Orchard Cottage Riding Stables

We have a full size indoor and outdoor riding school, 40m x 20m and the indoor school has a gallery for viewing.

Children can start riding from 6 years old with after school lessons. Beginners start in small groups with a maximum of six children. This allows them to progress at their own pace with thorough but enjoyable instruction.

Adults are offered tuition in dressage, showjumping and cross country and are taught by qualified professional staff, in groups, private or semi-private lessons.

The cross country course is set in our paddocks and can be used for lessons, weather permitting.

In the summer months we have a course of show jumps set up for lessons.

Our horses and ponies range in size from 11.2hh to 16.3hh.

We have a weight limit of 14 stone.

Riding hats are available to borrow free of charge but we recommend purchasing your own professionally fitted hat.

We have a selection of riding boots also.
